Hachi’s Story:
Hachi was just 19 months old when he was rescued from a kill shelter in Illinois. Thanks to Kaisa Parker, who first reached out about him, and Bart and Betsy Stevens, who jumped in to help, the rescue began on February 8th, 2020. With support from our amazing community, we raised $735 by February 12th, 2020 through PayPal, GoFundMe and personal checks to bring Hachi home.
Della, who had already helped transport Cooper, made the long trip to pick up Hachi and bring him safely to MRK9 in Waynesboro, PA. He arrived on February 13th and quickly bonded with The Dogman, spending his days playing outside, soaking up love, and finally living the life he deserved.
Hachi thrived. He didn’t just adjust, he bloomed. And it didn’t take long before we realized MRK9 wasn’t just a stop on his journey…it was his destination. So we made it official. Hachi is no longer a rescue looking for a home. He has one. With us. Every single day, he reminds us why we do what we do and why we fight so hard for dogs like him. 🐾💙
